Find answers to your questions about Grumpy Cookies & Cakes, from ordering to ingredients and customization. If you can't find what you're looking for, our customer service team is happy to help. Thank you for choosing Grumpy Cookies & Cakes!
Where do you bake your cakes?

We have had a beautiful purpose-built bakery built, just for baking at the heart of Gordon Heights Olongapo City.

Are you licensed, insured, and hygiene rated?

Yes, Grumpy Cookies and Dessert House is a business registered with Olongapo City Council. The local government issues all required permits.

How many cakes do you make and deliver in a day?

Usually only 2 but never more than 3, depending on logistics and cake complexity. We want to ensure that we provide ample time and attention to every cake we make. The delivery fee will vary depending on the location.

Can we suggest flavours?

We have an extensive cake menu but we are always happy to be guided by your tastes and preferences.

Can you work with our florist?

Yes, we are always happy to collaborate, and we have a professional with florists in our team. Considering a package deal? Why not!

What size cake do I need to cater for my guest?

Please see my menu guide which has approximate serving and cutting guides.

How do we cut the cake?

We provide serving and cutting guide for your reference.

How do you price your cake?

We operate a transparent baseline price for any celebration cakes, bearing in mind the ingredients, time involved, complexity, and additional ‘decorations’. We are very welcome to work with your budget and number of guests.

How far in advance do I need to book, how much is the deposit, and when is it paid?

For simple designs, you can book at least 48 hours before your event. We encourage a 50% deposit upon booking confirmation and the remaining balance can be paid upon pick up or delivery.

What is your refund policy?

If you have to cancel and do so at least 3 weeks prior to the date of the anticipated event the deposit will be refunded, otherwise, you will lose the deposit.

Can we freeze the cake leftover?

We don’t recommend freezing a cream-filled or ganache cake for an extended period of time, the thawing process will affect the quality and look. If you want to save the cake, keep it well in an airtight container. We recommend consuming your cake for 4-5 days from the date we deliver your cake.

Can I store a fondant cake before the party?

Sweating can happen when the fondant-covered cake is stored in the fridge, and the design might be affected. We encourage storing it in an air-conditioned room until you start your celebration.

Do ‘dummy’ layers save money?

A little.  Most costs are in the design and decoration so it does not make much of a difference.

If we are renting items how and when should they be returned?

A deposit is required, and rented items you or a guest/family member needs to return items to the bakery within 48 hours of the cake delivery date, or the deposit will be forfeited.
